LARKANA: Awami Tehreek held a protest demonstration in front of Larkana Press Club on Sunday for the arrest of Bilal Kaka’s killers and the expulsion of illegal immigrants Afghans, Burmese, Bengalis and others from Sindh.

The protest was led by Awami Tehreek leaders Mehran Sindhi, District Organizer Advocate Zulfikar Mirani, Haji Ali Hasan Wako, Muhammad Khan Chandio and Aitzaz Gaincho. Police led by DSP Hydari Asad Bhatti arrested advocate Zulfiqar Mirani, Mohammad Khan Chandio, Aitzaz Gaincho and 10 other workers and shifted them to an unknown place.

The party’s central leader Mehran Sindhi and Ali Hasan Wako said that the Larkana police officers had made arrests as if peaceful protest had become a sin. They said that the country’s Supreme Court and the heads of important institutions had objected to the presence of refugees from Afghanistan in the country including Sindh, but the PPP government was supporting them.

They further said that NADRA and other federal and provincial agencies are issuing domiciles and computerized national identity cards to all illegal foreigners including Afghan refugees. The leaders demanded that the case of the killers of Bilal Kaka should be tried in the anti-terrorist court. Voting of citizens of other provinces in Sindh should be banned and work permits should be issued to them so as to protect the rights of indigenous people.
