Legal action will be taken against illegally parked motorcycles and other impediments disrupting traffic flow during the pre-Eid shopping rush, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for Traffic, Mirza Bilal Hassan, announced today.
The senior police official revealed that a comprehensive plan has been put into action to manage vehicular movement, with 260 personnel deployed across the city near major shopping centres and commercial areas.
While inspecting various locations, Mr Hassan stated that these officials would remain at their posts under the supervision of their officers to ensure the traffic system remains fluid. He warned that no one would be permitted to cause obstructions or encroachments.
The SSP also issued an appeal to the public and local shopkeepers, requesting their cooperation with the traffic police and adherence to traffic regulations to help enhance the overall traffic situation in the city.
