Balochistan people urged to follow SOPs

QUETTA:Spokesperson for provincial government of Balochistan, Liaquat Shahwani has said that ratio of registered cases of COVID-19 in Balochistan were less than the other provinces of the country, however, adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) prescribed by National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) was essential.

Addressing a press conference at officers club here on Saturday, Shahwani said that novel coronavirus was once again rapidly spreading in the country, adding that the third wave of novel coronavirus could prove to be detrimental and that was why smart lock down was being enforced in major cities of the country to combat its further spread, however, added he, situation of novel coronavirus was better than other provinces of the country.

He urged people of Balochistan to strictly obey to the SOPs so that the spread of pandemic could be thwarted. Shahwani remarked that lock down impacted human life and economic activities, however, if SOPs were defied, lockdown would be enforced. Liaquat Shahwani was of the opinion that vaccination centres in the provincial capital were operations where people were being inoculated.
