Vice Chairman of the Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade (BBoIT), Bilal Khan Kakar, said on Wednesday that, in line with the vision of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, creating a conducive environment for investment, trade, and industrial development remains the provincial government’s top priority. To translate this vision into reality, the Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade, in collaboration with BUITEMS, will organize the Balochistan Investment and Trade Expo (BITE) 2026 next month. The expo is expected to serve as a major milestone in promoting economic growth, attracting investment, and creating new employment and business opportunities for the youth of the province.
He expressed these views while addressing volunteer students participating in the Balochistan Investment and Trade Expo at BUITEMS. The event was also attended by Chief Executive Officer of BBoIT, Qaim Lashari, BUITEMS Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Mirwais Kasi, Registrar Dr. Ahsan Achakzai, faculty members, and a large number of students.
Bilal Khan Kakar said that it is not possible for the government to provide public-sector employment to every young person. He encouraged the youth to pursue entrepreneurship and business ventures, assuring them that the provincial government would provide opportunities, guidance, and training to help them succeed.
He said that the Government of Balochistan is taking effective measures to facilitate investors, simplify investment procedures, and encourage private-sector participation so that both local and international investors can invest in various sectors of the province with confidence.
He noted that the upcoming BITE 2026 will bring together domestic and international investors, business leaders, industrial organizations, development partners, diplomatic representatives, educational institutions, and experts from various fields. The event will showcase investment opportunities in Balochistan by highlighting its industrial potential, mineral resources, agriculture and trade prospects, tourism, and other key development projects.
Appreciating the role of the volunteer students, Bilal Khan Kakar said that young people play a vital role in the success of major national and international events. He added that their energy, professional skills, and commitment would make a significant contribution to the successful organization of the expo.
He added that the Government of Balochistan remains committed to empowering young people, promoting entrepreneurship, and creating new investment opportunities across the province.
Speaking on the occasion, BUITEMS Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Mirwais Kasi urged students to utilize their full potential to ensure the success of the expo. CEO Qaim Lashari briefed the participants on the Board’s objectives and functions, while Registrar Dr. Ahsan Achakzai highlighted the preparations for the Balochistan Investment and Trade Expo and the important role of volunteer students in making the event a success.
