With Eid al-Adha celebrations, a strict ban has been imposed in Okara on the open disposal and burning of sacrificial animal remains. Section 144 was enforced today by Deputy Commissioner Ahmed Usman Javed to protect public health and safeguard the environment. According to the directive, disposal of waste like intestines and offal is prohibited in public places, such as streets, canals, and other unauthorized locations. Moreover, burning of animal heads and waste is strictly banned to prevent environmental pollution.
Authorities have warned of severe legal consequences for anyone violating these regulations. Citizens are encouraged to use specific trash bins and disposal sites provided by local authorities to promote a sense of responsibility and community cleanliness.
Residents are requested to report any violations or concerns to the district control room, and these orders will be enforced from May 26 to June 1.
