SHIKARPUR: Police claimed to have killed a notorious dacoit ‘SP Teghani’ and injured another Nawab Teghani in an encounter in the katcha area of Garhi Tegho on Sunday. The police also recovered two kidnapped villagers.
According to SSP Shikarpur Irfan Samo, the encounter took place between the dacoits and the police in the katcha area of Garhi Tegho. He said that Nawab Teghani, the accomplice of the killed bandit was seriously injured in the shootout.
The Sindh government had announced Rs2 million head money for the killing or the arrest of the bandit. The Shikarpur police team fought the dacoits with bravery, said the SSP Shikarpur.
Meanwhile, the Shikarpur police also recovered two kidnapped villagers from the clutches of the kidnappers in an operation in Garhi Tegho katcha area on Sunday.
According to SSP office Shikarpur information, Shikarpur police succeeded in recovering two kidnapped villagers identified as Imran Pahore and Chanesar Pahore from the clutches of kidnappers within the jurisdiction of Naparkot police station.
It may be recalled that the recovered villagers had been kidnapped from Karampur Laaro about one month ago.
