Bandits loot 25 tola gold, Rs2.1m cash from goldsmith

KHAIRPUR:Robbers looted 25 tola gold and Rs2.1 million cash from a goldsmith at gunpoint in Darya Khan Marri on Sunday.

According to credible sources, four armed persons attacked the goldsmith Ghulam Shabeer Pirzado at his shop in main bazaar of Darya Khan Marri in district Naushehro Feroz and lotted 25 tola gold and Rs2.1 million cash from him at gunpoint. On resistance, the bandits injured him and fled to an unknown destination.

Meanwhile, due to the increase in crime rate in the area, the business community shut their shops and bazaars of Darya Khan Marri and strongly protested against poor law and order situation. The traders demanded the recovery of the looted gold and cash, and arrest of the culprits.
