Bid to smuggle drugs to Sharjah foiled

KARACHI:An attempt to smuggle drugs to Sharjah was foiled by the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) at Islamabad International Airport as the personnel held a man with nine heroine-filled capsules in stomach, authorities said Tuesday.

Around 618 grams of heroin was also seized from his shoulder bag. The accused was the resident of Karachi. Separately, the ANF detained two suspects, Rawalpindi and Muzaffarabad residents respectively, and confiscated 2kg of hashish from their car near Faizabad Bus Stop. The accused were books in separate cases under the Anti-Narcotics Act.
