Quetta:Price of dates suddenly rose here in the holy month of Ramzan adding to the difficulties of consumers.
However, shopkeepers said that shortage of dates due to closure of border has increased the prices. In local market Panjguri dates are being sold at the rate of Rs450 per kilogram while other types of dates are being sold at around rupees 400 per kg.
Shopkeepers said that due to closures of borders, the price of dates has increased. However, people have demanded of District Price Control Committee to take notice of the increasing prices of dates.
