Bullion market surges, gold price per tola increases by a massive Rs 14,800

The local bullion market saw a significant surge on Wednesday, with the price of 24-karat gold per tola increasing by a massive Rs 14,800, reflecting the upward trend in global commodity values.

The new price of 24-karat gold per tola reached Rs 529,162, marking a substantial single-day increase in the value of the precious metal.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold saw a notable increase of Rs 12,689, closing at a new high of Rs 453,671. The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also increased by Rs 11,632, with the new price settling at Rs 415,880.

This price hike in the local market was in line with global developments, where the value of gold increased by $148, closing at $5,064.

Along with gold, silver prices also recorded an increase. The price of 24-karat silver per tola closed at Rs 9,255 after an increase of Rs 109.

The price of 10 grams of 24-karat silver also rose by Rs 93 to Rs 7,934. In the international market, the value of silver increased by $1.09, reaching a new level of $87.80.
