Burglars commit theft from three Larkana shops

LARKANA: Unknown burglars broke locks of three shops near Zulfiqar Bagh within the limits of Hyderi police station on Monday and decamped with costly goods.

According to a report, the shops of Ghulam Ali Jatoi, Syed Muhammad Ali Shah and Rafique Ahmed Bhutto were deprived of cash and goods. Jatoi lost costly clothes and cash of Rs80,000 from his shop, Shah was deprived of rice bags and spices packets whereas Bhutto lost cash from his medical store.

The affected shopkeepers said that the Zulfiqar Bagh area had become a hub of thieves where robberies and thefts were frequently committed. They said that a massive operation was urgently needed against the criminals operating freely. They urged the higher police officers to recover the material or else they would be out on roads against crimes and lawlessness.

Meanwhile, Larkana police claimed to have arrested an interprovincial gang member of contraband suppliers and recovered five kilogram hashish from his possession. The accused was identified as Shahrukh Shaikh. SSP Dr Imran Khan said that the accused was arrested several times previously by various police stations of Larkana. A case has been registered against the accused at Akil @ Pir Sher Road police station.
