QUETTA:Haji Abdullah Achakzai, Senior Vice President, Aiwan-e-Sanat-o-Tijarat Balochistan and Vice President Haji Akhtar Kakar have said that Industries, Commerce, Agriculture and other productive sectors of the province needed special attention of the federal and provincial governments.
In a statement issued here on Sunday, they said immediate restoration of economic zones of the province would help create more job opportunities for the unemployed youth of the province. They said unemployment in the province had turned into a nightmare and in such a crucial time, Commerce, Industries, Agriculture, Mining and other productive sectors of the province were required to be modernized.
They called on authorities to allot plots to the traders and industrialists of the province in Bostan Special Economic Zone and expedite efforts for restoration of Bostan Special Economic Zone. They said situation of Balochistan was quite different from other federating units of the country, hence, special tax discount package be announced for those persons affiliated with industries and commerce so that commerce and industries of the province might be equated with other commerce and industries of other provinces of the country.
They said it was not possible for the government to provide job opportunities to all unemployed youth of the province, therefore, steps were required to be taken to boost productive sectors so as to get rid of unemployment. They said Balochistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry is ready to extend assistance to government for promoting commerce and industry in the light of proposals presented to the government by Aiwan-e-Sanat-o-Tijarat Balochistan.
