Call to lift ban inter-city-provincial transport

QUETTA:Mehmood Khan Badini, leader of Mustariqa Balochistan Bus Transport Federation, Tuesday called on authorities that permission to inter-city and inter-provincial transport be given so that stranded people in different parts of the country and the province could be transported to their native areas for celebrating Eid.

In a statement issued here on Tuesday, he said that when government could not withstand the deficit of PIA and Pakistan Railway then how could transporters of Balochistan withstand the closure of their transports.

He said that the present government was not able to tackle the situation caused by novel corona virus which could be judged from the fact that instead of granting permission to transporters for plying their vehicles with SOPs, the government imposed ban on transport system. He said that present era lacked good governance adding that good governance in Balochistan could easily be observed during the tenure of Sardar Attaullah Mengal in 70s and Nawab Muhammad Akbar Khan Bughti in 80s.
