Capt (R) Mir Mehrullah Badini has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner of Quetta following an official notification from the Services and General Administration Department.
The announcement comes as Lt (R) Saad Bin Asad has been reassigned to the Forest and Wildlife Department as Additional Secretary, filling an existing vacancy.
This administrative change coincides with a protest in Wadh, where demonstrators have blocked the Quetta-Karachi national highway.
The protest, centered around the alleged enforced disappearance of Fahad Baloch, has led to traffic disruptions. Protesters remain on the highway demanding action for the recovery of missing persons, causing a standstill in traffic flow. The highway remains closed at the time of this report.
