In an effort to bridge the gap between academia and the professional world, the University of Chitral hosted a pivotal seminar aimed at equipping final-year students with the crucial skills needed to secure employment in a competitive job market.
The workshop, titled ‘CV Writing Skills for Career Success,’ was held on October 7th and organized through a collaborative effort by the university”s Departments of Economics, Management Sciences, and Urdu. The event featured Dr. Zahid Mehmood Akhtar, Deputy Director at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Islamabad, as the guest speaker.
Dr. Akhtar delivered an informative and engaging presentation, providing students with a comprehensive guide to crafting effective CVs and navigating career development. Participants, comprising 8th-semester students from all three organizing departments, were actively involved in the session, acquiring valuable insights into professional skill enhancement.
During the concluding remarks, Dr. Saif Ul Mujahid Shah, Head of the Department of Economics, extended his gratitude to Dr. Akhtar for the insightful and motivational address. He also praised the organizing team and acknowledged the significant collaboration of Dr. Rizwan Ullah (HoD, Management Sciences), Dr. Nadeem (HoD, Urdu), and Mr. Sajid ur Rahman from the Department of Management Sciences.
Both Dr. Shah and Dr. Rizwan Ullah reiterated the importance of such professional development initiatives for students. They strongly encouraged attendees to participate in similar future programs to strengthen their career readiness, commending the participants for their enthusiasm which contributed to the seminar”s success as an enriching learning experience.
