Caretaker Minister for information Jameel Yousuf and Caretaker advisor to CM for social welfare brigadier Haris Nawaz visits ‘Panah’ shelter home, and ‘Darul-Atfal’

Karachi, July 11, 2018 (PPI-OT): Caretaker Minister for Information Mr. Jameel Yousuf and caretaker Advisor to C.M. for Social welfare Brigadier (retd) Haris Nawaz visited ‘Panah’ shelter home in F.B. Area Karachi and shelter home for children ‘Darul-Atfal’, today. Secretary social welfare Taha Farooqui, DG social welfare Ms. Sheema Arif, Director information Ms. Zeenat Jahan, additional secretary social welfare Eesa Memon and other officers were also present on this occasion.

Caretaker Advisor to CM Brigadier (R) Haris Nawaz lauded the facilities, services and living environment provided to women seeking shelter in ‘panah’ shelter home. He said that the other shelter providing organizations must seek guidance from Panah how to provide welfare services to needy women.

Caretaker Minister Information Jameel Yousuf, who is also a founder trustee of ‘Panah’ informed caretaker Advisor about rules and regulations of the trust and said that women from Sindh, Baluchistan and all over the country come to get shelter in ‘Panah’. He informed that courts and civil administration also send shelter seeking women in ‘panah’. He said ‘Panah’ provides better accommodation, food, treatment, education, training and legal assistance to these women’.

He emphasized better working relationship among all shelter homes so that needy women and children can be provided better facilities. Jameel Yousuf said that ‘panah’ strives for such type of help and training to helpless women so that they could prove themselves as a good individual to their home and society. Jameel Yousuf appreciated the role of courts in providing timely justice to these help seeking women.

Caretaker Advisor to C.M. Brigadier(R) Haris Nawaz said that ‘panah’ is providing marvellous services to women. After visit of panah shelter home both the caretaker Minister and Advisor reached ‘Darul-Atfal’ the children home in Shanti Nagar Gulshan-e-Iqbal along with the officers of social welfare department. They showed their dissatisfaction on deteriorating condition of facilities and directed for the betterment in provision of services. They gave biscuits, chips cold drinks and other food items to the children living in this children home.
