ANF foils bid to smuggle 1400kg hashish near Gwadar

GWADAR: ANF claims to have foiled the bid to smuggle 1400 kilogram hashish in an operation conducted in the mountainous terrain of Gwadar in Balochistan province on Thursday. According to a statement issued by the spokesperson for Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), staff of ANF seized 1400 kilogram hashish, that was to be smuggled abroad via Sea, in an operation conducted in the mountainous terrain of Gwadar.

Man gets death sentence twice in rape-murder case

KARACHI: An anti-terrorism court on Friday handed down two times death sentence to a rapist and murderer of a minor child in Karachi. The court awarded two times death sentence to Rizwan Ullah who was found guilty of raping and killing a seven-year-old boy. It also awarded life term to the convict for kidnapping the child and imposed a fine of Rs2 million on him which it directed to be paid to the heirs of the slain child. According to the prosecution, convict Rizwan abducted a 7-year-old child who was playing outside his house in Bilal Colony. The father of the child registered a complaint of his kidnapping on July 13, 2020. However, after 20 days, the body of the child was recovered from the Korangi stream. As per the prosecution, the convict was the relative of the slain child.

NAUNDERO: One person Dost Muhammad Khakhrani was gunned down in Katcha area of Ketty Mumtaz police station area allegedly in an old dispute between two groups of Khakhrani community of Qurban Khakhrani and Nizam Khakhrani in Mitho Khakhrani village, near here on Thursday.
