CDA Chief Orders Accelerated Sector Development And Encroachment Removal

Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman and Islamabad Chief Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa has ordered the expedited development of several Islamabad sectors, emphasizing quality and the immediate removal of illegal constructions. During a high-level meeting at CDA headquarters on Friday, Randhawa directed the establishment of on-site offices in developing sectors like C-14, C-15, C-16, E-12, I-12, H-16, and Park Enclave to handle public complaints directly.

Attendees included senior CDA officials such as Member Administration and Estate Talat Mehmood, Member Finance Tahir Naeem, Member Engineering Syed Nafasat Raza, Member Planning Dr Khalid Hafeez, and Member Environment Asfandyar Baloch. Also present were Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon, Director General Resources CDA, Deputy Director Coordination (DDC) CDA, among others. The meeting assessed the advancement of infrastructure projects, including those at Shaheen Chowk, Faizabad Interchange, and Kashmir Chowk.

Randhawa stressed resolving public issues transparently and lawfully within these temporary offices. He also called for modern lighting, enhanced roads, and the widening of main access routes in new sectors. Further directives included prioritizing Park Enclave’s development and ensuring sufficient funding for all projects. The Chairman commended the CDA’s successful commercial plot and shop auctions. Finally, he instructed the upgrade of the Diplomatic Enclave to international benchmarks.
