Karachi, November 10, 2018 (PPI-OT): PIA flight PK 517 for the sector Karachi- Punjgur operated by ATR-72 aircraft; it landed safely at Panjgur at 0820 but due skid went off the runway for few meters and two tyres got deflated due rough surface. All 54 passengers safely disembarked the aircraft and there were no injuries spokesman said on Saturday.
PIA management immediately prepared one additional ATR carrying necessary tools and equipment for Panjgur. However it got delayed due non clearance by CAA. Currently flight has operated and all passengers have been brought back. PIA regrets the inconvenience caused to passengers.
Spokesperson said that President and CEO PIA, Air Marshal Arshad Malik has ordered an immediate inquiry of this incident. Flight Safety Department has started investigation and report will be submitted soon. PIA Spokesman rejects the speculations circulating in the media regarding the incident. PIA Spokesman concluded.
