The Mirpurkhas District Bar Association took a significant step by issuing Advocate Clerk Cards to 83 lawyer clerks today to address the longstanding issues of assistants to lawyers. The purpose of this initiative is to enhance their professional dignity and organize their judicial responsibilities.
During the ceremony held at the District Bar Hall Mirpurkhas, these important cards were distributed. Bar officials stated that this initiative was undertaken to provide formal recognition to the assistants, which facilitates better interactions within the judicial system. Historically, the absence of such recognition has created challenges for assistants, including difficulties in proving identity in court, maintaining communication with legal professionals and clients, accessing court schedules, and understanding security protocols, especially with law enforcement agencies.
With these cards, assistants can now perform their duties effectively within the court premises. A role record is being prepared for all assistants to prevent involvement in any criminal activity and to promote a transparent judicial environment.
During the ceremony, President Haji Qalander Bakhsh Leghari and General Secretary Ibal Hassan emphasized that the card usage is restricted to professional purposes within the court limits only. In case of any misuse or exploitation outside these limits, the card will be immediately canceled and disciplinary action will be taken.
The bar leadership reaffirmed its commitment to implementing further measures to resolve the issues faced by the legal community and their assistants, which will promote judicial order and raise professional standards.
