Karachi, February 27, 2018 (PPI-OT): Chief Secretary Sindh Rizwan Memon Tuesday advised the Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners to ensure the settlement of the land for construction and establishment of various projects in accordance with the rules and government policy and in consultation with the Sindh Board of Revenue and relevant departments.
He was presiding over a high level review meeting at Sindh Secretariat Karachi today. The meeting reviewed and discussed various projects i.e. landfill sites for dumping the solid waste and garbage in Karachi and other cities, Lab-e-Mehran Tourism project in Sukkur, court buildings, by-passes, agriculture projects and other schemes.
The meeting was attended by Secretary Law Iftikhar Shalwani, Secretary Culture Farooq Laghari, Secretary Local Government Ramzan Awan, Member LU Aftab Memon, Divisional Commissioners and Deputy Commissioner. The Chief Secretary asked the Deputy Commissioner Malir and Executive Director Solid Waste Management Board to immediately ensure a joint visit to Dhabeji area’s landfill site and report within 24 hours for further necessary action.
