CHK bans entry of visitors without mask

KARACHI:Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) has banned the entry of visitors without mask in its premises and staff has also been strictly instructed to implement standard operating procedures (SOPs).

 

Additional Medical Superintendent, CHK, Dr Ismail Memon, while talking to PPI on Wednesday, informed that a comprehensive public awareness drive had been launched in the premises of institution to counter second wave of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

 

He further informed that about 50 public awareness banners had also been placed in different wards, OPD block, administration block, masjid, nursing institute and other places to educate the public.

 

Dr Memon said no any visitor would be allowed without wearing mask in the hospital in all three shifts while only one attendant could stay with admitted patient. He said doctors, paramedical staff, nurses and other staff had also been strictly directed to ensure implementation of SOPs in the hospital.

 

He said public awareness messages about COVID-19 were also being announced through speakers during rush hours for implementing on SOPs. He urged the citizens to ensure implementation of guidelines issued by Sindh health department during visits to hospitals, markets and other public places.
