CIA police arrest smuggler, recover weapons worth Rs3m near Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: A CIA police team on Thursday claimed to have arrested an illegal arms smuggler in a raid and recovered weapons worth Rs3 million from his possession near Hyderabad.

According a police official, the police team during checking on the National Highway arrested a weapon smuggler, Humanyun, son of Dilawar Pathan, in a raid and recovered weapons, including two US M-4 rifles and an Italian 9mm pistol, worth Rs3 million from his possession.CIACIA

The CIA police said that the accused belonged to Peshawar’s Budha Pir area and added that three magazines and 120 bullets had also been recovered from his possession. They further claimed that in the initial probe, the detained accused had confessed that he was supplying weapons from Peshawar to different areas of Sindh. Further investigation was being carried out by the CIA police. The police have registered a case against the accused at Hatri police station and started further investigation into the case.
