A citizen was injured while resisting an attempted kidnapping in the Double Road area of Quetta on Wednesday.
According to police, unidentified individuals attempted to kidnap a citizen in the Double Road area of Quetta, but their attempt was foiled. Police said that Abdul Malik Agha was travelling in a vehicle bearing registration number AAZ-924 along with a friend when the suspects intercepted them in a Corolla car and attempted to abduct him.
When Abdul Malik resisted, the suspects assaulted him, causing injuries. Following the incident, the suspects managed to flee the scene, while the injured victim was immediately shifted to Sandeman Provincial Hospital for treatment.
A case regarding the incident has been registered at Satellite Town Police Station. Police said preliminary investigations suggest that the Corolla used in the incident had previously been involved in various crimes. Raids are being conducted to arrest the suspects.
