The citizens’ protest in Nasirabad for the immediate construction of the incomplete Taluka Hospital continued for the 17th consecutive day on Monday, prompted by the halted construction of the local hospital, which organizers claim has begun to crumble even before its completion.

Under the banner of the Sujag Shehri Ittehad, participants in the demonstration gathered at the Nasirabad Taxi Stand. The protesters carried banners, placards, and black flags to express their anger over the suspension of the public project.

During the sit-in, the alliance’s president, Muhammad Rafi Laghari, and other citizen leaders, including Sufi Ghaffar Chani and Asif Kathi, addressed the participants. They alleged that corruption across Sindh has destroyed institutions, citing the dilapidated, incomplete hospital as a prime example of administrative failure in the region.

The group’s demands are not limited to the hospital’s construction but also include ending the persistent shortage of doctors, medicines, and other essential facilities at the local rural health center.

The leadership of the Sujag Shehri Ittehad vowed that their movement will continue until the Taluka Hospital is fully restored and properly equipped. To strategize for the next phase of their campaign, the organization has called a crucial meeting on November 18 to discuss ways to intensify the protest.
