(City): MQM-P delegation meets Sindh Governor

Karachi:A delegation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan called on Sindh Governor Imran Ismail and Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar at Governor’s House on Saturday.

Federal Ministers Dr Fehmida Mirza, Muhammad Mian Soomro, Aminul Haq; members of Provincial Assembly Khawaja Izharul Hassan and Kanwar Naveed Jameel, Firdous Shamim Naqvi, Haleem Adil Sheikh, Khurram Sher Zaman and others were present in the meeting.

During the meeting, various development projects of the federal government in the province were discussed in detail. The Karachi package and the sanitation, transport, water supply and drainage projects under it were also discussed. Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar gave a briefing on Karachi Transformation Plan and other federal development projects.

On the occasion, Governor Sindh said that Karachi is the economic hub of the country as any activity taking place here affects the economy of the country and that is why the federal government has taken special measures for Karachi’s construction and development on the direction of the Prime Minister so that by providing all the basic facilities here, it can be made a city of lights again.

He said: “Karachi package is also part of the Prime Minister’s vision for Karachi. Governor Sindh said that Karachi belongs to all of us, so steps for its construction and development are our common responsibility.”
