(City): Patient dies as paramedics lock CMCH’s Neurosurgery OT

Larkana:A patient died when Neurosurgery Operation Theater was forcibly locked by protesting paramedics of Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH), sources said on Tuesday.

This was disclosed by the Medical Superintendent (MS), Dr. Ershad Hussain Kazmi, on his social media account. He said the OT was locked by Inayat, Ilyas, Jani, Bashir and peon Sarwar. Dr. Kazmi further wrote that seven criminals led by Munwar Mangi tried to attack the COVID-19 BSL-III Laboratory and threatened the incharge.

He also cited Sindh High Court, Circuit Court, Larkana, Order in CP No: 1137 of 2015 in which it has been directed that “doctors and paramedical staff, providing services of protecting lives of people in hospitals, shall not be allowed to go on strike in any manner as same may cost life. In case of any strike, necessary legal action shall be taken against all the responsible persons.”
