Civil society protest in Talhar against Indian Defense Minister’s statement

Members of civil society in Talhar, led by a local minority leader, held a protest demonstration to condemn Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh’s statement regarding the occupation of Sindh.

Addressing the protesters at Market Chowk on Monday evening, Sunil Kumar, a leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party Minority Wing, Badin District, declared that the Indian minister’s statement is “a dream of the Indian government that will never be realized.”

Kumar reiterated that minority communities residing in Pakistan, including those in Sindh, are and will remain completely loyal to their motherland.

He stressed that the people of Sindh will not allow any harm to their land or their country and are prepared to protect it. Kumar also said that the minority community expresses solidarity with the Pakistan Army.

“India has always been and will be defeated,” he added in his address.

At the demonstration, which was also attended by columnist and social leader Nadeem Ali Khawaja, participants chanted slogans in support of Pakistan and its army and against India.
