Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Yahya Afridi swore in Maqbool Ahmed Gondal as the nation’s new Auditor General on Monday. The ceremony took place at the Supreme Court of Pakistan in Islamabad.

Gondal, a BS-22 officer, took the oath of office in a simple but dignified proceeding. Supreme Court justices, officials from the Auditor General’s office, and Supreme Court personnel were in attendance.

Muhammad Salim Khan, the Supreme Court’s registrar, presided over the oath-taking ceremony.
