CM Punjab orders evacuation of population around rivers, streams in view of flood relays

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has ordered the immediate evacuation of residents to safe places in view of expected flood relays. She directed that all available resources be utilized to avoid loss of life. The Chief Minister ordered the shifting of communities settled near rivers and streams to safe places and immediate evacuation of livestock from agricultural areas. She also directed to monitor the flood level in Sutlej and other rivers.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif directed the administrative and emergency officials in Kasur, Pakpattan, Taunsa and other districts to remain alert. She also ordered to provide proper temporary accommodation for the displaced people and ensure snake bite treatment facilities in the affected areas. The Chief Minister directed the authorities to make the best arrangements for food, shelter and medical aid for the floodaffected people.
