CMCH Burns Ward refers patient to Karachi

Larkana:One young man Bilawal Dahani, resident of Nihal Dahani village, was burnt from electric current and was rushed to Burns Ward of the Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH) here on Saturday by his relatives for treatment and management.

Villagers told newsmen that Bilawal was repairing electricity in the village when he was suddenly electrocuted and was immediately brought to the CMCH Burns Ward. They said doctors after examining him have advised them that his 50% body has been burnt hence he should be sent to Karachi for treatment and further management immediately.

They said that they are very poor and cannot afford costly treatment at Karachi in this massive inflation era hence they urged the Sindh Government to bear the cost of his medical treatment and save his precious life to earn his blessings.

It must be mentioned here that 80% of patients with burn injuries are always advised by the CMCH Burns Ward doctors to shift to Karachi which proves that this major ward is lacking essential medical treatment facilities and has become useless for the poor victims. The residents of Larkana have demanded either it should be closed down or proper facilities should be made available at the ward without loss of time so that burn injuries are treated at the Ward in Larkana.
