LARKANA:Motorway police finally woke up and took action against a coach driver whose video became viral on social media in which the driver was seen playing a video game over his mobile phone while driving on Super Highway a few days ago at a high speed.
Driving license of the driver Babar Khan and route permit of the coach No: B-7246 has been cancelled, the spokesman of the motorway police claimed. The motorway police said that it was also negligence of the passenger who recorded the video that he did not inform motorway police timely and put precious lives of the passengers in danger.
They said that the duration of the video is one minute 17 seconds during which the driver was moving fast on the super highway but he did not inform police to take on the spot action. Coach left Larkana for Karachi at night.
Motorway police further claimed that FIR will also be registered against the driver and coach owners Abdul Rahman Morio Company. They further urged the general public to inform motorway police on their helpline number 130 so that proper action could be taken without loss of time to save from eventual fatal accidents as they work round the clock to serve them and to ensure road safety.
