KHAIRPUR:ASI burnt to death when his Vigo vehicle collided with an electric pole mysterious near Khairpur on Wednesday morning.
According to details, a Vigo vehicle collided with an electric pole on the National Highway at Bhurgary Bridge area near Khairpur. As a result, ASI Bilawal Wassan was burnt to death.
After the incident, Vigo driver Faraz Rajput fled. Khairpur police said that there were two people in the vehicle, of them, Bilawal Wassan, was burnt to death.
The deceased was shifted to Civil Hospital Khairpur where PPP MPA Munawar Ali Wassan reached and identified him as incharge Long Faqir police post, Bulawal Wasan. The body was later handed over to his heirs after the postmortem.
Two people escaped from the scene after the incident, according to locals. The police raided a house and arrested Rajput and a trader Mujahid Rajput.
Meanwhile, deceased ASI Wasan was laid to rest near village Nawab Wasan. His funeral prayer was attended by a large number of people including Manzoor Hussain Wasan, former MNA Nawab Khan Wasan, PPP MPA Munawar Ali Wasan and others.
