Constable injured in accidental firing at Karachi’s Saddar Police Station

A police constable was injured from an accidental discharge of a weapon while assuming his duty at Karachi’s Saddar Police Station on Saturday.

The injured official has been identified as 30-year-old Constable Arbab son of Riaz, who was injured by a 9mm pistol bullet during the changing of the guard duty.

Following the incident, the injured constable has been shifted to Jinnah Hospital (JPMC) for immediate medical attention. His current condition has not been disclosed.

Officials at the Saddar Police Station, located in the South district, have confirmed that an official inquiry has been initiated. A formal investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances of the firing.
