KARACHI:The police Thursday claimed to have arrested a hired killer and extortionist in Soldier Bazaar, near Pakistan Quarters.
The outlaw is a history-sheeter and dozens of cases were registered against him in different police stations, police said.
The accused is a hitman of a gangster, Jamil Changal, hiding in Iran.
He had killed a man in Garden area on refusal of paying extortion money.
According to details, the accused had demanded money from an owner of an under-construction building. When he had refused to pay him the extortion money, he killed his guard Shakarullah and fled.
The accused is involved in dozens of cases of robberies and heinous crimes.
Cash, mobile phones and arms were seized from his custody.
Further investigation is under way.
