KHAIRPUR: Two persons, including a Hindu trader, were killed and one other injured in separate road incidents near Khairpur on Monday.
According to rescue sources, a container collided with a motorcycle on the National Highway at Moosani bus stop. As a result, a police constable Muhammad Paryal was killed on the spot while other cop Nazir Narejo was injured seriously.
Tando Masti police reached on the spot and shifted the body and injured to Civil Hospital Khairpur for an autopsy and treatment, respectively. The police have arrested container driver and lodged a case against him. Further investigation was underway, said police.
Separately, a trailer hit a motorcycle on National Highway in Baberloi town resulting in death of a Hindu trader Hareesh Kumar on the spot. Police shifted the body and injured to a local hospital for an autopsy and treatment, respectively. The police also arrested the driver and started further probe into the incident.
