In a latenight crackdown against illegal indoor sheesha cafés, the Islamabad district administration sealed 16 establishments, arrested 22 individuals, and registered two cases in various areas of the federal capital.

Assistant commissioners led the operations in different sectors. In E11, Assistant Commissioner Shalimar sealed six cafés and registered one First Information Report (FIR). During actions in sectors F10 and F11, three individuals were also apprehended.

Meanwhile, Assistant Commissioner Industrial Area conducted operations in I8, sealing three cafés and arresting four people. In another operation, Assistant Commissioner Rural sealed a sheesha café in Gulberg Greens and arrested eight individuals.

Six more cafés were sealed in the Civic Center area, with seven people taken into custody. Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz Memon, stated that opening indoor sheesha cafés without outdoor permits is strictly prohibited in the city.

He affirmed that the district administration will ensure full compliance with court orders. ‘Assistant Commissioners will continue their impartial crackdown on illegal sheesha cafés,’ the Deputy Commissioner emphasized.
