Two individuals, both with existing criminal records, were taken into custody today in the Gulberg area after an encounter with law enforcement agencies, during which one person was also injured.

The person arrested in an injured state has been identified as Asadullah, whose prior criminal record has been confirmed by authorities.

His alleged accomplice, Fayaz, also has multiple cases previously registered against him.

Following the incident, authorities have filed new charges against both. Two cases, No. 26/115 and 26/116, have been registered under sections 353, 324, and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code, in addition to Section 23(1)-A.

A comprehensive investigation into the matter has been launched and is ongoing.
