Kharian: Kharian Saddar police claimed on Monday to have busted a five-member dacoit gang and recovered cash, valuables and weapons from them.
According to the police, the gang has been a symbol of terror for the people of the area for a long period of time. The police recovered Rs1 million worth of cash, eight-tola gold ornaments, and two pistols from the possession of the accused. They were identified as Dilawar, Bilawal, Asif, Anjum, and Israr. The members of the gang were notorious for theft and dacoity incidents in the area, police said.
