Delhi court rejects bail plea of Shabbir Shah

Srinagar, February 01, 2018 (PPI-OT): A Delhi court has rejected the bail plea of senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, in a false case of money laundering registered against him in 2007. Additional Sessions Judge, Justice Sidharth Sharma, who had in August last year denied the relief to Shabbir Shah citing the ongoing probe, dismissed his fresh bail plea.

In his bail application filed through Advocate M S Khan, the APHC leader had told the court that investigation into the case was complete as the Indian investigating agency, Enforcement Directorate, had filed its chargesheet and there was no possibility of hampering the probe by him. The court had on 22 August last year rejected Shabbir Shah’s earlier bail plea after the ED stated that it was probing the case.
