Demo held for missing man’s recovery

LARKANA:The residents of village Sahab Khan Gorar, located near Kambar, held a protest demonstration for the second consecutive day at Jinnah Bagh Thursday for the recovery of a 17-year youth, Allah Rakhiyo alias Afaq Mangi.

They held a large placard in their hands. His father Ali Nawaz Mangi, mother Ashraf Khatoon, Rashid Mangi and others complained before newsmen that Afaq had gone to Karachi along with his aged mother for her treatment where he was staying in Gulshan-e-Hadeed at his maternal uncle’s home.

They said last Tuesday night, 14 to 15 plainclothes men came there in three vehicles and took him away forcibly without informing them of his crime.

They said they went to lodge a report at Gulshan-e-Hadeed Police Station where the cops said that they had not arrested any man named Afaq. They said that they were extremely worried about the wellbeing of Afaq as they didn’t have any enmity with anyone. They urged Chief Justices of Pakistan and Sindh, IGP and Karachi police chief to take notice of the enforced disappearance, order his recovery and dispense justice.
