Srinagar, February 23, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, massive protests erupted in Lal Chowk area of Islamabad town, today, against attacks on Kashmiris by Hindu extremists in India. People took to streets in Lal Chowk today morning and staged protests against the attacks on the Kashmiris in different parts of India. Shouting pro-freedom and anti-India slogans, the protesters also displayed photographs of a local youth, who was thrashed in Chandigarh yesterday by Hindu fanatics.
Indian police fired teargas shells to disperse the protesters, triggering clashes between the demonstrators and the cops. The youth, Mohammed Waqas Malik, a resident of Islamabad town, who is pursuing Bachelors in Technology (B.Tech) from a college in Mohali, was reportedly thrashed by Hindu goons yesterday. A spontaneous shutdown was also observed in Lal Chowk and other areas of the town.
