The Government of Balochistan has launched its first-ever online, merit-based recruitment system, which Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has described as the fulfillment of his core promise to end the sale of government vacancies and eradicate corruption and nepotism.
In a social media announcement, the Chief Minister confirmed on Monday that the initiative is starting with 111 vacancies in the Finance Department, marking the province’s first fully digital and paperless recruitment process designed to strengthen transparency and restore public trust.
Mr. Bugti clarified that the new system is a significant step towards institutional reforms. Under this system, candidates will complete an online test for a transparent assessment of their skills and abilities.
To ensure that appointments are based purely on merit, successful candidates will receive appointment letters within one hour of the completion of the assessment process.
This reform is initially being launched in the Finance Department and is planned to be implemented in all other provincial departments in a phased manner. The administration has reiterated its commitment to using modern technology to promote better governance and accountability.
The Chief Minister reiterated that merit, transparency, and honoring promises made to the public are the fundamental pillars of his government’s policy, and said that such initiatives empower the youth and ensure that deserving individuals receive their rights.
