District Council general meeting held, discussion on development schemes of health, education, irrigation, and other departments

The Mirpurkhas District Council has been directed to propose new development projects by utilizing unused capital from previous schemes, aiming to accelerate public welfare initiatives across the region.

This directive was given by District Council Chairman Mir Anwar Ali Talpur during a general meeting held on Tuesday at the District Council Hall. The meeting, convened to improve public services, focused on a comprehensive review of development, health, education, and irrigation throughout the district.

Addressing the meeting, Chairman Talpur urged the council members to promptly complete the necessary proformas for new schemes provided by the Sindh government. He emphasized that the saved funds should be used to propose and initiate development works beneficial to the local population.

A broad review of the district’s essential services was also conducted during the session. The discussion centered on the condition of health facilities, the standard of local education, and other challenges faced by various departments.

Key officials present at the high-level meeting included Vice Chairman Mir Ahmed Talpur, Additional Deputy Commissioner-II Faisal Ali Soomro, and Medical Superintendent of the Civil Hospital, Dr. Pir Ghulam Nabi Shah Jilani. The meeting was also attended by officers of district departments, council members, and journalists.
