Sialkot:The stage is set to hold free, fair, impartial and peaceful elections for the five seats of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI’s) Executive Committee Corporate Class. The polling will be held on September 23. Electioneering is in full swing for the annual elections of SCCI.
The annual elections on five seats of SCCI Executive Committee’s Corporate Class would be held on September 23, 2020, whereas the elections for SCCI’s Associate Class would be held on September 24, 2020.
SCCI’s ruling Ittehad Group’s leader Riazuddin Sheikh told that ruling Ittehad Working Group has fielded Zohaib Rafiq Sethi, Qaisar Ikram, Asif Ali, Qasim Ali and Muhammad Ahsanul Haq for the five Executive Committee Seats against rival Democratic Founders Group’s candidates Ishfaq Ahmed, Syed Muntazir Abbas, Muhammad Ali, Salman Iqbal and Asad. While, the polling for the Five Executive Committee seats from Associate Class would be held on September 24, 2020.
Ruling Ittehad Founders Group has fielded its candidates Muhammad Idrees, Aneel Sarfraz, Sheikh Suhail Zafar, Shahid Nadeem Mughal (Daska) and Ali Amir Bhatti for Associate Class against Democratic Founders Group’s candidates Tariq Mehmood, Muhammad Iqbal Asad, Mirza Ayas Baig, Khawaja Zia Ullah and Ansab.
Both the rival groups, the ruling Ittehad Founders Group and opposition’s Democratic Founders Group, are making high claims of their victory in these polls. The candidates are going factory to factory to seek vote and support by the exporters cum members.
