Doctors’ strike continues in Quetta

QUETTA:Strike of young doctors and paramedics continued for the 36th consecutive day in Quetta and other areas of Balochistan.

According to reports, protesting doctors and paramedical staff closed OPDs and wards of government run healthcare facilities of the province, including OPDs and wards of Quetta’s hospitals, however, Young Doctors Association arranged OPD in the protest camp of YDA and Balochistan Paramedical Staff Association at Sandeman Provincial Hospital, Quetta to diagnose patients.

The strike of YDA irked patients coming to Quetta from the far-flung areas of Balochistan as they were unable to get themselves treated. Talking to PPI, patients demanded of the authorities to take notice of the strike of Young Doctors Association, Balochistan Paramedical Staff Association and dearth of facilities in government run healthcare facilities of the province.
