The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of smog across districts in Punjab due to continuous dry weather and environmental pollution. Citizens in the affected areas have been strictly instructed to take precautionary measures.
According to the forecast made on Monday morning, the weather is likely to remain dry in most parts of the country.
However, in the mountainous regions, the weather is expected to remain cold, especially during the morning and night hours.
According to the temperatures recorded in major urban centers on Monday morning, Karachi was the warmest at twenty-two degrees Celsius. In other cities, Lahore recorded nineteen, Peshawar seventeen, Islamabad twelve, Muzaffarabad ten, and Murree nine degrees Celsius. Quetta had a temperature of six and Gilgit three degrees Celsius.
In occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the weather is likely to remain cold and dry in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramulla. Similar dry weather is forecasted for Jammu.
Early this morning in the region, the temperature in Leh was recorded at minus three degrees Celsius. Srinagar and Anantnag were at six, while Pulwama, Shopian, and Baramulla were at five degrees. The temperature in Jammu was recorded at fourteen degrees Celsius.
