New Delhi, January 31, 2018 (PPI-OT): The Indian Enforcement Directorate (ED) has once again summoned the wife of senior APHC leader, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, who is lodged in Delhi’s Tihar Jail for the past several months. Shabbir Shah’s wife, Dr Bilquees, in a media interview said that she was grilled for seven hours by the ED for questions that she had answered many times earlier. “Today I was made to reply to all those old questions about my job, livelihood, education of my children, bank details, earnings, property, etc,” she added.
Dr Bilquees said that she objected to answering questions whose answers she had already given in writing many times, and added that Shabbir Shah’s nephew was also questioned for 10-12 hours. “Nothing has been found against Shabbir Shah till date. It has made the ED officers more frustrated, because of which they also grilled his nephew. And today I was made to reply to all those old questions,” she added.
It is to mention here that the Indian authorities have illegally detained Shabbir Ahmed Shah in New Delhi’s infamous Tihar Jail in a fake case registered against him. A charge-sheet has been filed against him by the ED.
