Edhi announces annual performance report

LARKANA: Edhi Welfare Center announced its annual performance report here on Saturday.

In this regard, in the statement issued by the spokesperson of Edhi Welfare Center Larkana, Mohammad Saleem Arain, it has been informed that Edhi Welfare Center during the year 2022 shifted 1693 patients through ambulances from their homes and to the hospitals to and from Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Dera Murad Jamali, Kandhkot and Sui (Balochistan).

In this way, the statement further added, as many as 1179 dead bodies were shifted from the hospitals to their ancestral areas. The spokesperson has further said that the administration of the Center during the year 2022 gave baths and shrouds to 92 unclaimed and abandoned bodies and buried them in local cemeteries and 117 people who were either injured or died in various road accidents were also taken to hospitals to save their precious lives.

The statement further added that after searching for the relatives of 11 missing children and people, they have been safely handed over to their relatives. Apart from this, one abandoned man, 3 abandoned women and 7 abandoned children have been admitted to Edhi Home Karachi, they further said.
