Egyptian president begins Sudan visit

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi arrived in Khartoum on Thursday for a two-day official visit to Sudan, during which he will hold talks with Sudanese counterpart Omar al-Bashir.

Upon arrival, Sisi was received at the airport by President Bashir, a number of ministers and senior government officials, besides representatives of the diplomatic missions accredited to Sudan.

Sudan News Agency (SUNA) reported that talks between the two leaders will deal with means of enhancing bilateral relations. They will also discuss political and trade issues as well as the current developments in the region and other questions of mutual concern.

The Egyptian president is accompanied by the ministers of foreign affairs; water resources and irrigation; agriculture and land reclamation; and defense.
